ABOUT PAMELA GOOSSEN
AUTHOR:
I’ve been writing for as long as I remember. In my youth, I was captivated by poetry. I became a professional corporate writer a few decades ago and have written three seasons’ worth of kids’ TV shows. My first middle school book was published in 2019, under the pen name P.S. Whatever. Since then, I’ve published two more and am currently writing the fourth and final one in the series.

ARTIST:
I’ve been painting off and on for about twenty years and find that the obsession is growing. I’m fascinated by the subjects of self-reflection, turning points, and choice. I try to capture emotion – or pique the viewer’s curiosity – when I can.
Generally, I work in oils but also use pastels, and would like to experiment more with mixed media. For my kids’ book illustrations, I use water colour and ink.

HUMAN:
Art and writing offer me a mirror— to see the strengths, flaws, hopes, vulnerabilities, and hidden longings that make me who I am. My perspective on the world (and my representation of it) is shaped by all these things. I dislike bragging and pretention. I get excited by new ideas and possibilities. And I often see something that makes me want to pick up a brush or a pen.
