Painting is meditation, joy, and surprise. I’m self-taught but have studied with first-class professional artists. Perhaps because I’m self-taught – and have a significant independent streak – I love to take what I’ve learned and experiment. Most of my paintings have some kind of narrative but the story tends to emerge on its own.
