EXCAVATION

A term I’ve hijacked to describe my process,  “excavations” are paintings on top of paintings without obscuring the image underneath. Some bits of the original want to stay and become part of a new story. Others want to exit. There’s rarely a plan at the outset so I’m in the hands of the paint.
